On Monday, August 14th, participants and staff alike took a 2 hour road trip to Annapolis Royal. We got to see two National Historic Sites- Port Royal and Fort Anne.
At Port Royal, we got to set foot inside an old settlement and experience what life would have been like in the 1600’s. We got to interact with talented interpreters, who told us stories from long ago. We also got to sit and relax whilst having a picnic lunch.
We then took a 15 minute drive to Fort Anne, where we toured the museum and learned about the fort and its creation. We also roamed around the fort itself; we got to immerse ourselves in history- with a few stops to roll down some steep hills!
A great time was had by all, and we cannot wait until our next day trip!
